That is why the timeless designs of Artisan and Ethnicraft fit so well in our sustainable range. Made of high-quality and natural materials and can be combined with different styles in your interior. And with some simple maintenance tips, your furniture can stay at its best for generations. More than a lifetime of sustainability!
Daily maintenance
The solid wood furniture is finished with a varnish or oil. This emphasizes and preserves the properties of the material. This has the advantage that stains penetrate the wood less easily. To maintain your furniture daily, it is sufficient to wipe it with a dry cloth. Or use a damp cloth with a natural cleaning agent. Despite the extensive treatment of the wood, it is advisable that if a glass is knocked over, you remove the liquid immediately.
If the wood of the oiled furniture feels a bit dry, it is time for a freshening up. You can easily test this with a drop of water on the wood. If the water droplet runs out, it is time to oil your furniture.
It is also possible that your furniture will be damaged by intensive use. Because Artisan and Ethnicraft furniture is made of solid wood, you can lightly sand it in the direction of the wood grain. You can easily remove a scratch or dent with this. Then treat it with an oil. Artisan supplies a special maintenance set for this. For Ethnicraft furniture, use Osmo Hardwax oil . Always apply the product in the direction of the wood grain. And hang the cleaning cloths out well after maintenance to prevent smouldering. That way, the piece of furniture can withstand it again for a while!
